We were at the 8TV Showdown audition last week as our boys, Borneo Soulbreakerz are auditioning for the show! We were there to give moral support to them and also to energize the other participating crew ~

The New 2010 Red Bull Rookies!

Red Bull Rookies new driver line-up for 2010 Sepang 1000km race

Red Bull Malaysia on 23 January, 2010, unveiled the Red Bull Rookies team which consists an all-female line-up of 3 Malaysian and 2 fresh drivers from Brunei. These Red Bull Rookies will compete in the upcoming Sepang 1000km race, slated to kick off its 2010 edition in June.

Red Bull Malaysia along with its partner Asia Advanced Driving Academy (AADA) have hand-picked these aspiring rookies to compete in the current season's domestic motorsports series, namely the SIC 1000km. The chosen ones for this year's Red Bull Rookies were Carmen Lim and Lee Hui Jing with two other drivers from Brunei to be announced at a later date. Mentored by current Red Bull Malaysia racing driver Puteri Ayu Jasmin and trained by AADA's chief trainer Kenvin Low, these rookies are bound to blaze the track once the full training program has been completed by June.

Carmen and Hui Jing were among the six finalists selected from the 2009 Red Bull Female Driver Search. Last year's Red Bull Female Driver Search saw 2,500 entries for the program in a series of nationwide roadshows held at various major cities. In the end, Carmen and Hui Jing made the cut and immediately underwent a tough training session which included a Smart Women driving course and the challenging advanced driving boot camp.

Both drivers have not had any track experience and are vying to give it their best in the upcoming track experience and training, and ultimately the 1000km race.

Carmen said, "Firstly, I would like to thank Red Bull for this great
opportunity. it has always been a passion of mine to get into a racecar,
and the experience as one of the Red Bull Rookies has provided me the
best possible start to a racing career."

Hui Jing commented, "I can't wait to drive Diego, the Red Bull Honda DC2
race car on track and get as much experience as possible before the
1000km race. I will do my level best to support the team and my team
mates throughout the season."

From now until final tests slated for 3 - 5 June, the Red Bull Rookies
will have their hands full with intensive track experience and training.
The girls will pilot the Red Bull Honda Integra DC2 codenamed "Diego"
racecar complete with a dynamic and fiery Red Bull livery.

This year, Red Bull Malaysia has also decided to expand its campaign to
Brunei in search of the two would-be rookies to join forces with the
trio of Malaysian female drivers to complete the line-up for the 2010
Red Bull Rookies team.

Competent Bruneians who are selected will undergo a practical test
followed by more grueling selection processes, including driving course
and advanced driving course boot-camp. After the boot camp, the final
two will be elected to race with the Malaysian trio for the 1000km race.

Penang Turf Club

Yee-ha!!! Alice and Ranny on the run to Penang Turf Club today. We are penangnites but never enter into the Turf Club before and today is our first time of our life to step into the club. Special thanks to the Turf Club's General Manager that allowed us to go around the club to sample all his staffs with a can of Red Bull. Not to forget about Raja, our good tour guide. He bring us around the club. Without his assistance both of us might get lost in that huge place! Back on the track, our mission for today is to sample a cold can of Red Bull to the workers, as it can help them to regenerates their energy after a long working hours. While sampling we managed to "sight-seeing" the nice view of the race track. Its HUGE! We feel lucky that we are able to sample in the Turf Club as most of the staffs are amazingly friendly and it's an honour that we are the VVIP of the day as we can walk around in the place like nobody business. We visit each of the departments, the vet, take pictures with the horse and gone to the VIP room. It's a great sampling day for us in 2010. All right people dont envy us as you might get the good opportunities too.

Just Chong!!

Hello all!!

Just wanna share a small tit bit on Chong.

Well, yesterday after her shift as she was cleaning up the car something bad happened! =0

The vacuum cleaner she was using caused a power trip! *gasp!*
Luckily, most of the office staff was using laptops so it ran on battery....however, Kak Wan was not so lucky! She was using a desk top..sooooo all her work was gone! (haha~ oops, i mean..oh no!)

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean too..."

"The vacuum did it!"

As Chong felt really bad about it, today she came with a peace offering for Kak Wan!
Aha! A yummy chocolate drink from...ehem! (Sorry, gotta bleep that out ;p)

You should just see the joy on Kak Wan's face! hahaha....

Andddddd......not wanting her darling team leader (Thats Me!) to feel left out, she got me a cake! Ooooohhhhhh...YUMMY!

Tho' its abit squashed..its the thought that counts! :D

Now, Kak Wan is practically scheming the next time Chong will come in for her shift...she's planning to sabotage the vacuum to cause "another power trip" wahahaha...(Just joking)
